Our normal business hours are M-F Noon-5:30 and Weekends 10-3. We are closed this week Thursday-Sunday for our Big move.
You can see the schedules for in person classes here. Class sizes are 4-6 students MAX . We love to help provide you with sewing supplies and stock a range of fabrics as well as tools and notions. You can view most of our supplies in our Etsy Shop, but are welcome to visit us in person.
SEWING MACHINE REPAIR AND SERVICE We recommend both Dublin Sewing Center and The Sewing Machine Shop in Walnut Creek.
Fashion Studies
Fashion Studies is an accelerated Fashion program for Middle and High School Students. In this semester long program, students learn the fundamentals of Fashion Design while being taught & mentored by industry professionals.
Through this program, students build a strong foundation of fashion centered skills while building their portfolio(s) and preparing for deeper study.
Kids Classes
During the School Year, we offer classes After School on Mondays and Fridays for children ages 8 and up. Saturday classes are also available year round.
We like to create an atmosphere of creative play and are here to make your child’s sewing experience the best it can be.
Pre-requisite - All students must first take Machine Basics or already know how to operate the Sewing Machine.
Adult Classes
If you have never sewn before, our Machine Basics Class is the the best place to start. Beginners through advanced students, who already know how to operate the machine may take our Weekly Studio Classes. Our instructors have been trained to guide you through the process of sewing and reading a pattern. A private lesson provides you with one-on-one hands on instruction, giving you the confidence to move forward. The next step would be weekly sewing classes.
At THE SEWING ROOM we specialize in Apparel Sewing and Fashion. Our instructors have experience with garment fit, construction, design in both the fashion industry as well costuming. We love to share our expertise with our students and believe that sewing is SUPER FUN! And it’s also a great skill that may save you money, challenge your brain and give you a terrific wardrobe.

Inside The Sewing Room
In our Classroom you will find everything you need to start sewing. We have sewing machines for up to 6 students and several large cutting tables in addition to scissors, measuring tapes and plenty of seam rippers.
